FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Garland Jeffreys – “Voice of Multi-Ethnic New York” (NY Times) – To Preview New LP ‘The King Of In Between’ With Spring Shows At Highline Ballroom (4/30) and Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble (5/7)

On April 30, NYC rock & roll legend Garland Jeffreys will headline the Highline Ballroom, performing songs from his forthcoming album ‘The King Of In Between’ – his first release in 13 years out later this spring. Following a full band show last fall and a number of benefit appearances, Garland, a “best-kept secret” praised for his “streetwise flair” by Rolling Stone, has re-emerged as a fixture of the NYC music scene.

Garland’s band will include a tight knit cast of musicians that he has been playing with for years: Mark Bosch on electric guitar (Ian Hunter), Brian Stanley on bass (Loudon Wainwright III, Bryan Adams), Andy Burton on keys (Ian Hunter) and Steve Goulding on drums (The Mekons, Waco Brothers).

Garland and his band will also be performing at Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble on May 7th in Woodstock, NY and touring the east coast in June.

You can listen to the anthemic first single, “Coney Island Winter,” here:
